Partridge Flag Poll….. The Result

27/07/17

AlongComeNorwich have gone full Partridge. Now Andrew Lawn wants your help in deciding which design to investigate the feasibility of making real (and big), ready for a Barclay lower debut.

While Twitter tears itself apart at the to sing or not debate and people slate fans for slating fans, all while shamelessly asking for renewed togetherness and missing the point is entirely about choice and not imposing your choices (whether to sing or not to sing) on others, we’ve gone full Partridge.

First myself and Chris Reeve spent 5 minutes arguing the benefits of Norwich pedestrianisation on the latest TalkNorwichCity podcast and then one of our graphic designers came up with this idea for a new flag for the Barclay lower…

It immediately sparked a twitter storm as ideas for celebrating the comedic value of Norwich’s most famous fictional son.

Designer Ben (@RobotCanary – who was also responsible for our recent t-shirts and stickers) went back to work and produced 5 beauties. Now we need your help in picking which one we look into getting made, ready for the new season.

This focus on flags comes from the same desire to improve the Carrow Road atmosphere.

While the Barclay Lower is indeed not Dortmund’s yellow wall, there is no reason it cannot be Norwich’s green and yellow equivalent.

The hope is that with the addition of flags and banners, a carnivalesque atmosphere can be created that everybody can enjoy and feel part of.
