Barclay End Norwich And ACN Statement – Display For Saturday

13/08/21

Barclay End Norwich and Along Come Norwich wanted to confirm to supporters who have asked, and those who were wondering, what's happening tomorrow display wise.

Finally, the day is nearly upon us when we can return to Carrow Road in person and revel in the passion, unity and emotions of being football supporters together.

Lots of you have been in touch, to ask what Barclay End Norwich and Along Come Norwich have planned for the game. We had big plans, ones that we’ve been fundraising for over the last few years and we wanted to thank all those who have added to the crowdfunder pot or bought an item of merchandise from us. We really wanted to try and mark this occasion with the biggest and best display of colour Carrow Road has ever seen, one that Norwich City fans could proud of.

Unfortunately, and somewhat understandably, due to ongoing restrictions the organised supporter groups have been unable to do anything for the Liverpool fixture. Communal flags which are touched by many hands, or large surfer banners above people’s heads perhaps aren’t the best idea right now, given everything else that’s going on in the world.

However, we understand the club themselves have something planned which will include supporters in all areas of the ground and we’ll be checking in with them game by game to see what we’re able to do for future fixtures.

Our primary focus however is what we can do. Each and every one of us. That is to provide our vocal backing to the boys, not just this week, but every week throughout the season. We know it’s going to be tough, but we should feel confident that our team can play at this level, and that they go onto the pitch in every game knowing a yellow and green wall of fans is fully behind them.

Enjoy every minute of it; the anticipation, the pre-match beers, the songs on the Barclay, the cheering with your mates, the sharing of emotions with those you’ve known a lifetime and those you have nothing in common with beyond a love for a city and its team. This is what being a supporter is all about.

But remember to back our boys and the role we have in how this season unfolds.

So bring your colours and bring your voices, and let’s march forward together.

ONE CITY STRONG
