The ACN Match Review: Bolton (h)

How did we play? 

Our goals were good. That was about it. Note: we have two fit right backs and three fit number tens. Could we please just settle on the best player for those positions and leave it at that?

What was the best bit of the game? 

Mo’s incredible strike was hit so hard it’s a wonder it didn’t burn through the net, the River End stand, fly through the South Norfolk sky and land in Suffolk, breaking the sound barrier along the way.

What was the worst bit of the game? 

The insistence of our players that, when in command of the game, we simply give the ball back to Bolton and move out of their way.

What was the atmosphere like? 

Exactly as you’d expect when you watch your team score some excellent goals but ultimately chuck three points away. No one deserved applauding after this shit show.

Hero of the match.

Mo did his bit heroically – then went off with what looked like a very painful, potentially serious injury. The others owed him better than they gave him.
